Meet Our Team

James Morris is the owner of River Ranch Capital.

 

Mr. Morris, graduated from Oklahoma State University with a BS degree in Business Administration in 1973. He joined John Hancock Financial Services in 1973 and was appointed CEO of John Hancock’s Boston based distribution system in May of 1999. He also served as Chairman and CEO of John Hancock’s broker dealer, Signator Investors, Inc., as well as Chairman of Essex Co. and Essex National Securities, Inc.  Morris has also obtained several professional designations including Certified Financial Planner, Chartered Financial Consultant, and Chartered Life Underwriter.

 

Mr. Morris retired in April 2004. He currently serves on the board of directors of the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, the South Central Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society, InVesTrust, and Hearts for Hearing. Morris is a recipient of the Maureen Reagan award for his work with the Alzheimer’s Association as well as the Hope Award for his work with the MS Society.

Kyle Shoemaker is an asset manager for River Ranch Capital, joining the team in 2015.  He currently oversees the financial, accounting, and operational roles for RRC’s portfolio.  

He ensures effective capital usage with a hands on approach of creating value to an asset by ongoing review and strategic analysis.

 

He brings almost two decades of experience in commercial real estate to the company after working for Trammell Crow and CBRE as an Asset Manager. 

In his tenure with CBRE he has overseen over 15 million square feet of Industrial, retail, and office space in Oklahoma focusing on assignments for institutional owners, REIT’s, and private ownership.

He graduated from Texas Christian University in 2002 with a BS Degree in Business Finance and a Minor in Commercial Real Estate. He has also earned his CPM designation through the Institute of Real Estate Management.

 

Kyle resides in Edmond, OK with his wife Kim.
